Youth Trade Summit: Hands-On Career Workshop

The Youth Trade Summit is an immersive, hands-on career exploration experience designed to introduce students to skilled trade pathways and provide an inside look at the learning environment of the Prerequisite Trades Academy (PTA).
During this engaging workshop, students will be introduced to multiple skilled trades through guided demonstrations and interactive discussions led by industry professionals. After learning about the available trades, each student will select one trade of interest and complete a hands-on project specifically related to that trade.
In addition to the hands-on project, the summit is designed to give students a taste of the PTA classroom experience. Participants will engage in structured, instructor-led activities that reflect how courses are taught at PTA, helping students better understand expectations, learning styles, and career pathways available through the academy.
